Why Choose Brava Composite Roofing?

Pinnacle Roofing & Skylights installs Brava Roof Tile products for homeowners and commercial property owners throughout Rhode Island. Brava manufactures composite roofing tiles from 100% post-industrial recycled polyethylene, turning plastic destined for the landfill into beautiful, durable roofing and siding material — all made in the USA.

Every Brava product has undergone extensive testing and earned third-party certifications for the highest levels of wind, fire, and hail resistance. All tiles carry a Class 4 impact rating and are available with Class A fire ratings. Wind resistance is rated at 188 mph with nail fastening and an extraordinary 211 mph with screw fastening. Brava backs every product with a 50-year transferable limited warranty.

Brava’s patented multi-coloring process runs color all the way through each tile — not just on the surface — so the color never wears off, chips, or fades. Variegated blends of two or more colors per tile create a realistic, natural appearance that single-color products cannot achieve. Custom colors and color blends are available for any project.

Old World Slate

Brava Old World Slate features a full 1-inch profile — the thickest synthetic slate on the market, twice as thick as most competitors. This substantial profile creates deep shadow lines and an unmistakable presence that closely replicates the look and feel of authentic quarried slate.

Old World Slate is available in standard 12-inch widths and multi-width configurations combining 6-inch, 9-inch, and 12-inch tiles for a natural random pattern. Color options include Arendale Slate, Atlantic Slate, Cottage Slate, and many more, with custom colors and blends available for any project. Class A or Class C fire rating options are offered depending on your needs and budget.

Like all Brava products, Old World Slate is made from 100% post-industrial recycled polyethylene, is fully recyclable at end of life, and carries a 50-year transferable limited warranty.

Cedar Shake

Brava Cedar Shake tiles capture the split texture and natural character of real hand-split cedar in a composite material that will never rot, split, curl, or attract insects. Available in three widths — 5 inches, 7 inches, and 12 inches — with thicknesses ranging from 5/8 inch to 7/8 inch, the thickest in the industry.

Each tile measures 22 inches long with a 10-inch exposure and 13-inch overlap. Installation follows the same methods as traditional shake roofing, with a 3/8-inch gap between tiles to accommodate expansion and contraction. Brava Cedar Shake tiles can also be installed as siding, making them a versatile choice for complete exterior projects.

The patented multi-coloring process creates variegated colors throughout each tile for a realistic appearance that never wears off. Custom colors are available. Class A fire, Class 4 impact, and 188/211 mph wind ratings come standard, backed by the 50-year warranty.

Spanish Barrel Tile

Brava Spanish Barrel Tile delivers the timeless Mediterranean-inspired aesthetic of traditional clay barrel tile without the extreme weight, fragility, or expense. Brava’s composite barrel tiles are among the lightest composite tiles available — lighter than many asphalt shingle roofs — so no structural reinforcement is needed.

The overlapping fit design creates the classic barrel tile profile with deep shadow lines and authentic curves. Available with Class A or Class C fire ratings, the tiles carry the same 50-year transferable warranty as all Brava products. Custom colors allow you to match any architectural style, from coastal Mediterranean to modern Southwest. Call and request the catalog 401-267-7663.

Sustainability

Every Brava tile is manufactured in the USA from 100% post-industrial recycled polyethylene. At end of life, the tiles are 100% recyclable. Brava’s manufacturing process diverts plastic from landfills while creating a roofing product that lasts 50+ years — reducing the cycle of tear-off waste that conventional roofing materials generate. Brava tiles require almost no maintenance and will not support the growth of mold or mildew.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a Brava roof last?

Brava backs all products with a 50-year transferable limited warranty. The recycled polyethylene composition resists UV degradation, impact, and weathering for decades of reliable performance.

Are Brava tiles really made from recycled materials?

Yes. Every Brava tile is manufactured from 100% post-industrial recycled polyethylene, made in the USA. The tiles themselves are also 100% recyclable at end of life, making Brava one of the most environmentally responsible roofing choices available.

Can Brava tiles be used as siding?

Yes. Brava Cedar Shake tiles are specifically designed for dual use as both roofing and siding. They install using the same methods and carry the same fire, impact, and wind ratings whether used on the roof or the walls.

How does Brava handle Rhode Island weather?

Brava tiles are engineered for extreme conditions. With wind ratings up to 211 mph (screw fastened), Class 4 impact resistance for hail, and complete immunity to moisture, freeze-thaw cycles, mold, and insects, they are built to handle everything New England delivers.
