Like most Pinnacle roofing projects, the work was completed efficiently — minimizing disruption for the homeowner.
A colonial on Greenridge Court needed a complete roof after a storm swept through, and the homeowner chose a warm, earthy color to match the home’s classic look. Pinnacle carried the West Greenwich restoration from storm assessment and insurance all the way to a finished roof in CertainTeed Landmark shingles, color Burnt Sienna. The before-and-after tells the story: a storm-battered roofline restored to sharp, uniform condition.
Scope of Work
We started by documenting the storm damage thoroughly and working the claim through with the adjuster so the approved scope covered the full extent of the loss. The crew then tore the colonial’s roof down to the deck, inspected the sheathing, and replaced any storm-damaged decking before building the roof back up. A complete underlayment system went down first, followed by CertainTeed Landmark shingles across every plane, with new flashings, drip edge, and ridge cap completing the storm damage restoration.
What We Installed (And Why)
The new roof is a CertainTeed Landmark architectural shingle system in Burnt Sienna, a warm reddish-brown blend that gives the colonial real character and pairs beautifully with earth-toned siding and trim. Landmark’s dual-layer laminate build delivers the dimensional shadow lines and wind resistance a storm-prone home needs, a clear step up from the flatter shingle it replaced.
The protection lives in the layers below. Synthetic underlayment covers the field, ice-and-water shield guards the eaves, valleys, and penetrations, and new drip edge lines every edge. We set fresh pipe boots and vents, capped the ridges with matching ridge cap shingles, and balanced the attic ventilation so the roof deck stays dry and the shingles reach their full service life across West Greenwich’s four seasons.

Good To Know: What does a roofer actually do to help with my insurance claim?
A good roofer does a lot more than swing a hammer. On a storm job we inspect the roof thoroughly, photograph and write up every point of damage, and meet the adjuster on site so the two assessments line up and nothing legitimate gets missed. We explain the scope in plain language, help you understand what’s covered, and then complete the approved work to manufacturer standard. You shouldn’t have to fight the claim alone or wonder whether the repair matches what was approved; we handle both sides so the process actually moves.
Why This Approach Works
Rebuilding a storm roof as a full system is what separates a repair that lasts from one that leaks again. Stripping to the deck lets us catch weakened sheathing, reset every flashing, and lay continuous underlayment that a partial fix can’t match. Finishing with a dimensional, wind-rated shingle like Landmark means the roof that failed once is replaced by one built to shrug off the next storm, while a warm color choice like Burnt Sienna keeps the colonial looking exactly as it should.

West Greenwich, RI
West Greenwich is Rhode Island’s rural western frontier, a town of woods, wide lots, and traditional colonial and farmhouse homes set well apart from one another. Out here a roof stands exposed to wind and weather with little shelter, so durability and honest workmanship count for a lot. Pinnacle is proud to serve homeowners throughout West Greenwich.
