This West Warwick property came with three roofs: the house, a detached garage, and — rarest of all — a fieldstone springhouse tucked in the trees. Pinnacle Roofing & Skylights reroofed all three in CertainTeed Landmark, Cobblestone Gray, in a single 2026 project.

Scope of Work

Each structure was stripped and rebuilt as a complete system — underlayment, drip edge, starters, Landmark field shingles, and matching caps. The springhouse’s small hipped roof took the most cuts per square foot on the property; small roofs with real geometry always do.

Springhouses are small stone outbuildings built over natural springs — early Rhode Island’s refrigeration, keeping milk and food cool in flowing water. The few that survive are property treasures, and their masonry depends on a sound roof: water that gets past failing shingles works into stone joints and freezes, and the building that stood for a century starts to lean in a decade.
