The roof came first: CertainTeed NorthGate ClimateFlex shingles in Driftwood, followed by new VELUX skylights with solar-powered blinds, Cedar Impressions siding in place of the old vertical boards, and new seamless gutters to finish.
Scope of Work
The old roof was stripped and rebuilt with the full CertainTeed system under NorthGate ClimateFlex shingles. The aging skylights came out in favor of new VELUX units with solar-powered blinds — which may qualify for a federal tax credit. The crew then removed the old vertical siding, installed CertainTeed Cedar Impressions, and capped the project with seamless gutters sized to the new roof.

NorthGate ClimateFlex is CertainTeed’s polymer-modified shingle — SBS rubberizing technology that stays flexible in cold weather and carries a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating, the highest there is, along with a Class A fire rating, a 110 MPH wind-resistance warranty, and CertainTeed’s lifetime limited transferable warranty.
