A homeowner on Holland St in Cranston needed a water-management system that would actually protect the house, so Pinnacle installed new seamless aluminum gutters and downspouts sized and pitched to carry every heavy Rhode Island rain safely away from the foundation.

Scope of Work

The crew started by assessing the roofline and the existing fascia to confirm a solid, straight mounting surface and to plan where the water needed to go. Seamless aluminum gutter was then formed on site to the exact lengths of each run, eliminating the leaky mid-run seams that come standard with sectional store-bought gutter. The team hung the gutter on sturdy hangers set to a deliberate, consistent pitch toward the outlets, then connected downspouts positioned to discharge well away from the home and its foundation. Corners were fabricated and sealed, outlets were cut cleanly, and every joint was checked for a tight, quiet system that will not drip or overflow in a downpour. What We Installed (And Why)

We installed a complete seamless aluminum gutter system with new downspouts across the home. Seamless gutter is run in single continuous lengths rather than short bolted sections, which removes the weak points where old gutters typically drip, stain the fascia, sag, and eventually pull loose. Aluminum was chosen because it will not rust, it is lightweight yet strong, and it holds up beautifully to New England’s punishing freeze-thaw cycles year after year without corroding.

Just as important as the gutter itself is how it was hung. The runs were pitched slightly toward the downspout outlets so water always keeps moving instead of pooling and overflowing at the edges, and the hangers were spaced closely enough to carry the real-world weight of a full gutter loaded with rain, leaves, and winter ice. The downspouts were then routed to carry that captured water down and away from the foundation, protecting the basement from seepage, the landscaping from washout, and the soil around the house from the erosion that undermines a foundation over time.

Good To Know: Why do seamless gutters outlast the old sectional kind?

Traditional gutters come in short pieces joined together every few feet, and each of those joints is a seam that works loose, corrodes, and leaks over time as the metal expands and contracts. Seamless gutter is formed as one continuous length for each run right on the job site, so the only joints on the whole system are at the corners and the downspout outlets. Fewer seams means dramatically fewer failure points, far less dripping and staining down the fascia, and a system that keeps performing season after season with very little maintenance. It is a meaningful upgrade in both durability and appearance.
