Scope of Work
We opened with a drone inspection to survey the storm-damaged roof and, importantly, the flashing and seals around the skylights — common leak points after high winds. The imagery supported a detailed storm damage restoration claim, then our crew rebuilt the roof: tear-off to the deck, decking replacement where needed, new underlayment, re-flashed skylight curbs, and a fresh asphalt architectural shingle system across every plane.
What We Installed (And Why)
Skylights change how a storm roof has to be rebuilt. Every skylight is a penetration through the roof plane, so the flashing and underlayment details around it have to be reworked precisely to stay watertight. Our aerial assessment let us inspect those areas closely before a single shingle came off, so the rebuild addressed them head-on rather than roofing around a hidden weak point.
With the roof torn to the deck, we replaced any compromised sheathing and reinstalled the full water-management system — ice-and-water membrane at the eaves and valleys, synthetic underlayment across the field, and freshly integrated flashing at the skylights, walls, and penetrations. New drip edge, starter, ridge cap, and balanced ventilation completed a roof built to keep this home dry through the next storm.

Good To Know: Do skylights need special attention after a storm?
Absolutely. Skylights are among the most leak-prone spots on any roof because they interrupt the shingle field, and storm winds can loosen their flashing or damage their seals. During a storm restoration we inspect each skylight closely, re-flash and re-seal as part of the rebuild, and document any storm-related damage for your claim. Handled properly, they’ll shed water as reliably as the rest of the roof.
