A Main Street homeowner in West Warwick wanted more than a straight siding swap — they wanted a genuine exterior transformation. Pinnacle delivered with new vinyl siding, crisp trim detailing, and a stone-veneer accent that gives the home a fresh, layered look with real curb appeal.

Scope of Work

The crew removed the old siding, inspected the sheathing, and installed a proper weather-resistant barrier before any new material went up. We hung new vinyl siding across the walls, wrapped the windows, doors, and corners in clean trim, and set a stone-veneer accent to add texture and definition. Every transition between materials was flashed so water is guided out of the wall, not into it.

What We Installed (And Why)

This home received a full new vinyl siding system paired with coordinated trim and a stone-veneer accent. Vinyl was the right base for the field because it stands up to Rhode Island’s weather with virtually no maintenance — no repainting, no rot, no worry through the freeze-thaw cycles. The crisp trim work around openings and corners frames the panels and gives the exterior a finished, intentional look rather than a plain wrap.

The stone-veneer accent adds the layer that elevates the whole design, breaking up the elevation with texture and a sense of permanence. Wherever different materials meet — siding to trim, siding to stone — the flashing and detailing carry the real weight, directing water out and keeping the weather barrier behind everything continuous. Behind the finished surfaces, that moisture management is what protects the sheathing and lets the new exterior look this good for the long haul. Coordinating the siding, trim, and stone as one design rather than three separate add-ons is what gives the elevation its balanced, finished proportions.

Good To Know: Can you mix vinyl siding with a stone accent?

Absolutely — combining vinyl siding with a stone-veneer accent is one of the most effective ways to give a home custom character without the cost of a full masonry exterior. The stone adds texture and a grounded, premium feel, while the vinyl keeps the bulk of the walls low-maintenance and weather-tight. The trick is in the transitions: where the two materials meet has to be flashed and detailed correctly so the accent enhances the look without creating a spot for water to get in.

Why This Approach Works

A layered exterior only works when the walls behind it are built as a system. Adding trim and a stone accent multiplies the number of transitions where water can find its way in, so each one has to be flashed and integrated with the weather barrier. By stripping to the sheathing, installing a proper moisture barrier, and detailing every material change, we make the finished exterior both striking and genuinely weather-tight — good looks that last, not just for the photos. It is the same discipline that keeps a roof from leaking, applied to the walls, which is why the accent and trim still look intentional years down the road instead of curling away from the house.
